Composed during a winter visit to Český Krumlov, Snowy River was inspired by the contrast between a snow-covered town and the river continuing to move through it. I began writing the piece there using a portable MIDI keyboard, shaping its rhythmic foundation around the current of the water. Drums and bass provide a persistent sense of motion, while the surrounding textures evoke the stillness and clarity of the winter landscape.
